I consider the psychedelic churches/groups to be part of the underground. Free from the restrictions that will be placed on the clinics. No hyper concerns of insurance reimbursement but still needing to pay attention to harm reduction and ethical issues.
We are in the early "formulation" stages of psychedelics as recognized clinical applications. The Portland Psychedelic Society deserves credit for its years of working with legislators to pass legislation, build a structure, and certify practitioners. As we are in the early stages of formulation, we try, test, and adjust or redesign models for effectiveness, efficiency, and cost. It will take some time to figure it out, but the point is it's out the door, down the road, and on its way.
Any thoughts on the part that might be played by organizations like mine – entheogenic churches?

Thank you so much for that clarification. I totally agree - especially with the harm reduction piece!
